Paul Cluver Wines

Having known the Cluver family and their wines for many years, it is an honour and a privilege to represent them in Ireland. This estate has been in the family since 1896 but it was only when the patriarch, Dr Paul Cluver, gave up his career as a neurosurgeon and planted the first vines in the cool Elgin area 30 years ago. His large family are all now involved in wine including Paul Cluver IV, the general manager and son-in-law, Andries Burger, the very talented winemaker. The estate and its wines are constantly ranked at the highest level of South Africa's Wineries. The large estate forms part of a UNESCO world heritage site, the Kogelberg Biosphere, and is a founder member of the Green Mountain Eco-route, the world’s first wine and biodiversity route.
